For cosmetics stores

A chatbot for your cosmetics store

Shoppers ask what suits their skin, what's in a cream and whether it's OK for sensitive skin. MOON Chat answers from the descriptions and ingredient lists in your catalog. It doesn't give medical advice.

does the first one have fragrance? my skin is sensitive
Fragrance isn't on its ingredient list. If creams have given you reactions before, check with a dermatologist first.

What people ask when they buy cosmetics online

"What works for my skin?"

It first asks about the shopper's skin type. Then it recommends from the products you've described for that skin type.

"What's in it?"

It reads the ingredient list in your catalog and answers what was asked: whether there's fragrance or retinol, or what SPF it has.

"I have an allergy. Can I use it?"

It only says what's on the ingredient list. It never promises a product is safe for someone's skin, and it can point the shopper to a dermatologist.

"Is it vegan? Is it tested on animals?"

It only answers if the information is in the description or your rules. If it isn't, it tells the shopper it doesn't know for sure.

What you get

Answers whenever shoppers ask

Evenings and weekends

Lots of questions come in the evening, when nobody's there to answer. MOON Chat replies right away, and in the morning you'll find every conversation in your dashboard.

Voice messages

On a phone, many people would rather talk. The shopper taps the microphone, says what they're looking for, and MOON Chat understands and replies.

On Instagram or WhatsApp too

If you get questions in your messages, MOON Chat can answer there too, with the same catalog. You add the channels from your dashboard.

What to have in your catalog

  • The ingredient list for every product
  • The skin type, in the description or the category
  • Labels like vegan or fragrance-free, where they're true

What it doesn't do

  • It doesn't give medical advice or diagnose anything
  • It doesn't promise effects that aren't in the product description
  • It doesn't say a product is safe for an allergy
